Kea & Kākā Polymer Clay Cutter – NZ Native Bird Cutter & Keyring Set

Product Description

Celebrate two of Aotearoa's most iconic native parrots with the Kea & Kākā Polymer Clay Cutter. Designed as part of Adaptium's Kiwiana Collection, this detailed cutter is available as a 50mm single cutter, a 60mm keyring cutter, or as an optional value set.

The single cutter is perfect for creating pendants, brooches, magnets, ornaments and decorative polymer clay pieces, while the keyring version features two mirrored bird shapes joined by a connector, allowing you to create a complete double-sided keyring with minimal assembly.

Both designs capture the distinctive curved beak, strong stance and characteristic features of these much-loved New Zealand parrots, making them ideal for Kiwiana jewellery, gifts and handmade keepsakes.

The Kākā is New Zealand's native forest parrot, recognised for its beautiful olive-brown feathers, flashes of red and energetic personality. It plays an important role in native forests by spreading seeds and pollinating flowers.

Its alpine cousin, the Kea, is the world's only alpine parrot and is famous for its remarkable intelligence, curiosity and playful nature. Found high in the South Island mountains, the Kea is known for investigating almost anything it encounters, making it one of New Zealand's most memorable native birds.

Whether you're creating jewellery inspired by Aotearoa or adding to your native bird collection, this cutter offers crisp detail and clean cuts designed specifically for polymer clay.

About the Kea & Kākā

The Kākā (Nestor meridionalis) is one of New Zealand's treasured native forest parrots. With its rich earthy colouring and lively personality, it plays an important role in maintaining healthy forests by feeding on nectar, fruits, seeds and insects, helping to pollinate native plants and disperse seeds throughout the bush.

The Kea (Nestor notabilis) is the world's only alpine parrot and is found in the mountains of Te Waipounamu (South Island). Famous for its intelligence and curiosity, the Kea has become one of New Zealand's most recognised native birds. Both species are unique to Aotearoa and are protected, reminding us of the importance of conserving our incredible native wildlife.
